What is truth? Truth is that which is consistent with reality. Truth is objectively absolute but subjectively appropriated (Ravi Zacharias). Two people may have two perspectives of truth but they do not possess their "own truth", only their individual perceptions of what the truth is. We cannot create truth - truth is that which is consistent with reality. Reality has always existed. There are no new truths being created. Truth may be discovered, applied, implemented, and transmitted, but truth cannot be created. However, a great number of falsehoods can be created.
God is there. He has not been silent. (Francis Schaeffer). God did not leave us to grope around in the dark looking for Him. He revealed himself in his spoken word recorded in the Bible, in his living word, His Son, Jesus, and in the things He has made. God speaks - the wind and the seas, the atoms and the electrons - they obey Him. Everybody knows this (Romans 1:20) but not everyone likes this.
As there is one reality, there is one truth, and only one true religion. Everything that is good - everything, is a natural outworking of the Christian worldview. People may profess to be Christians and fail to act on that profession, but anything good that has ever happened flows out of the Christian worldview. Even bad people can do benevolent works but when they do they are acting as Christians even if they vehemently deny this.
Every thing that is really important resides in the unseen - our hopes, dreams, aspirations, understandings, and affections are there. Before the house, the automobile, and the painting, there was a design conceived within the mind. The mind is an independent observer of the brain which resembles a quantum field except that it shows no need for energy (Eccles, 1977). In all of experience, the unseen precedes the existence of the seen.
